My awesome secret pal!!

Last night I stopped by Joann Fabrics to get cording so I can make tie-backs for the kitchen curtains--while I was there I noticed they are getting a lot of Patons yarn: pure wool, divine, baby cotton, etc.... I had never felt the divine before, and I don't care if it is part acrylic!!! It is soooo soft and pretty. I wish it was winter so I could make a scarf out of it and wear it right away!! I think a poncho might work...hmmm

Anyway, they didn't have that i-cord making machine in the store, so I bought a Knitting Knobby Spool for $2.00. I figured I would try that before I spent good yarn money on that little machine. It is working very nicely. After about an hour I already had a couple of feet done. Those 6-7 feet will be done in no time!!

So, my story continues....I debated on if I should buy the divine or maybe some pure wool for a little more felting. I decided not too. I was surely rewarded!! When I got home I had a package from my secret pal! She is awesome!!! She sent me a Magic Loop instruction book, a knitting socks with 2 circulars book, and tons of different sock yarn!! I am so excited! I just need to get some size 2 and 3 circs and I am set. I don't remember all the types, but my favorite was the cherry tree hill yarn--very soft, very pretty!! I promise I will take pics this weekend.

I need to start shopping for my secret pal--I know what I want to get her, but I need a visa card to order it and we are waiting on our new ones. As soon as it gets here!! I'm sure she will love it!!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Are you surprised?

No pics today because we were painting the craft room last night....just have the ceiling left, then I can move on with my evil plan!

I worked some more on the Little Black Top and I think that since my row guage is off, it is messing with the shoulders. Everything else looks fine, but the shoulders are growing to amazingly large proportions. Rather than rip it out last night, I put it away so I could think about it. I really want this top to work out, but I think I may need to stop with the yarn I bought and buy the correct yarn....I am sure I can find something to do with Angora/wool yarn--mmm soft scarf? Gloves? Hmmmm, this is starting to sound like a great idea...

Renae from work was telling me about this little machine that can do i-cording in minutes. She posted the link on here, but here is a picture:

It is being sold at Joann.com, but I have to go to the store, so I might try that first. I'll let everyone know if it is worth it.

Well, off to work!! Happy Knitting everyone!!

Pretty Decreases

After I got home from work last night, I worked on Little Black Top for a little bit before I did my pilates and cooked dinner. I am so impressed at how pretty the decreases look...I think I figured out the question I had yesterday, but I am not sure if I could actually write a response that would make sense. Anyway, I have always looked at sweaters and thought, I wish I knew how to make my decreases look like that--I did. I'll try to get pics taken tonight so everyone can marval at the beauty of the decrease.

I was thinking about making a workout button when I finally got around to making my blog button (hopefully this weekend). It wouldn't be a ring or anything, just something that people can put on their sites to say they are trying to get fit--no blog police here.

Last night Jeremy told me there was a yarn store in Shorewood, the next town over, that he found. I am going to have to check it out. I am excited because all the yarn stores near me close before I could even think about getting to them, and I get off work at 3!! Maybe this weekend I'll check it out and see what I can find for my secret pal.

Have a good day everyone!!

Tuesday, July 27, 2004

I just want to point out that my blog was approved to be part of the Knitting Blog webring...visit my neigbors and welcome to those new visitors!!

I worked on the Little Black Sweater last night a bit and have gotten to the arm hole shaping. Now I am questioning myself about decreases. On the knit side I am doing ssk and k2tog to decrease at each edge. Now my question is what do I do on the purl side? I guess I should preface this with saying that the first three and last three stiches of the row are to be in garter stitch (so k3, ssk, knit to end of row for right end and knit to last 5 stiches k2tog, k3 for left end). When I flip the piece and are on the WS do I do a k3, k2tog or k3, ssk or k3, p2tog or k3, ssp? I understand the slants and everything, but I guess I just don't understand how it will work against or with the other side. If anyone has a clue, please help me find one...

Other than that my night was pretty boring....I think I may have mentioned it before, but I don't think I quite explained what I was actually doing--I somehow got myself roped into being a Mary Kay Consultant. Well, after my director pissed me off, I said screw it (more time for knitting). So now I am stuck with all this MK inventory...I have begun selling it on ebay. I have been doing really well, but I want to move this stuff out of my house. I think the products are pretty good, but not worth the retail price, so I am selling most of this stuff at 50% off. If anyone reading this decides you want to buy something, just leave me a comment on here and mention in the auction that you are a knitter and were on my blog-I'll ship it for free. That's how much I want my basement back!! BTW, I add new stuff most everyday, so if you are looking for something in particular, email me or keep checking back. Visit my auctions

Alright, that is enough of my sales pitch...Now did I mention how much I love the internet? Everyday I find more useful knitting stuff. Yesterday I posted some pretty cool links, but here is another one: Sweater Pattern Generator . It's pretty neat- you put in your yarn weight, what type of sleeves you want, and what size--Viola! Instant pattern. What did people do before the internet? I wonder...

I think I am going to order my secret pal's next gift...This one will be fabulous!! I think I will get some for myself, too. I won't say what it is in case she has happened across me, but it will be yummy!! I am getting excited thinking about it!

Tales of a drunk girl!

Sorry that I am a little behind on posting this morning, but it has been a little hectic at my house....

So, Jeremy has a 'real job'!!!! I could go on tell you about how the one job with all the money he didn't get, even though he was the top pick, because the VP's son knew one of the other candidates, but he is ok with it, so I will be as well....
In honor of him having a real job, we went shopping. I haven't bought work clothes in almost 3 years, and being in a professional environment, I like to update my clothes every so often. We went to the new outlet mall in Aurora, IL and I went nuts at Brooks Brothers. I spent close to $500. Problem is I need to have all the pants I bought hemmed...don't you hate not being able to wear new clothes right away?!

Friday night my parent's took up to Greek Town in Chicago. We ate at The Parthenon. Best Greek Food ever!! I love Greek food, and this place knows how to do it right--saganaki, Spanikopita, Feta, Kalamata Olives, Baklava....mmmm! I was really funny that night since I helped Jeremy and my dad drink two bottles of Roditis (Greek red wine)....I haven't had alcohol in like 7 months...I got the giggles, almost fell off the curb, and fell asleep in mid sentence! My parent's have never seen me in that state--oops! It was fun anyway. So, because I was feeling stellar the next day, I was able to do quite a bit of knitting. I am almost to the shape armholes part of the Little Black Sweater's back. I've been so careful, but I didn't realize my row gauge was off. It's ok, though. I think the original version was going to be a little short, so this gives me the length I wanted!! I love accidental mistakes that end up for the better.

Ok, so I found some wonderful things online and that I had bookmarked and want to share!!

Since the new FCEK has a lot of crochet in it and some of the patterns are cute (but why stray away from knitting?), this may come in handy:

How about that awesome sweater you saw and thought of the yarn in your stash only to find that the yarn is the wrong gauge? Give up? NO!

Left your Vogue Knitting at home and are near a computer?

Well, I did my pilates...

Yes, Amie , I did my pilates. I wasn't entirely happy about it, but I did. Maybe it'll get easier to do them as the days go by...maybe my knees will feel so great that I'll WANT to do them--ooh, I shudder at that thought!!

Anyway, it is Friday! My plans this weekend include a whole lot of nothing....I hope it works out that way. I worked on the Little Black Top last night and dreamt of using my new "in the round" skills to try a pair of socks. Geez, there are just so many projects I want to tackle!! I didn't get to Hobby Lobby or Jo-Ann's last night, so the i-cord didn't get done. I think I will do that tonight or tomorrow. Then Felting Time!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!! It should be 75 degrees here in the greater Chicagoland area, and hopefully no humidity. Maybe that is asking a little much....

Thursday, July 22, 2004

Is it Friday yet?

Don't you hate it in the morning when you tell yourself there is only one more day you HAVE to get up this week? Especially when you went to bed early the night before?

So I started the i-cord with the 2 circ. method, and while it is extremely cool, it is taking forever! This i-cord is to be 5-6 ft long. I don't know if I can survive that long...I may hit the Hobby Lobby or Michael's and buy one of those knitting bobbin things ("Knitting Nellie"?). I hear they make i-cords much easier and quicker.

I re-cast on the Little Black Top last night and only got to row 7. I am going to be so careful this time. After using big yarn and needles on the last couple of projects, I forgot how slowly small needles and yarn go. I don't want to have to frog this thing again. I did read on Knitter's Review Forums that you can buy ravel cord or use waste yarn to mark periodically in your knitting. Then when you have to frog, the ravel cord or waste yarn is already holding the yarn and you can frog all the way back without worrying about stiches. Maybe a thought...

Melissa has also been asking about buttons...funny how minds think a like. I have been working on some designs for my own button, but graphic designer I am not. I can't draw free hand with paper and pencil, so I am certainly not going to attempt to draw on the computer. I think I am going to have to be creative with the camera. I also saw on Missa's Blog, Midnight Knitter, that she does make buttons for $15. It might be worth it. I am in the internet development arena and sometimes those little graphics take too long!! So keep watching and soon I'll have some links to other blogs...too much to do, not enough time!!

And for more ramblings....

I NEED to work out!! I need to stop being lazy and start doing my pilates and some cardio. My knees feel like I am 60 years old--thanks Cheerleading! My physical therapist told me to keep stretching and exercising-ooops! I also need to get off my butt and start studying for the GMAT. Kinda need that if I think I am going to go back for my MBA...if only my managers would approve my degree application for tuition reimbursement. I don't want to start putting time and money into something if they are not going to approve it (and pay for it)--know what I mean?

Thanks, I feel much better. I read somewhere that if you write down your goals, you are much more apt to actually achieving them. That was my short list....I get scared thinking about my long list!

Hope everyone is having a good day!!

Dr. Evil?

This morning I jaunted over to Melissa's blog and saw this fun Harry Potter Quiz...I am Hermione! I probably could have guessed that!

Which HP Kid Are You?

So you are probably wondering why the title today is Dr. Evil and I am talking about Harry Potter. Well, the other day when I took Yoda to the vet, I was holding her and she got all excited. The one paw that had clipped nails scratched my face. It got my left eye and down my face (I told her we were even). Now I look like Dr. Evil. Hopefully it doesn't scar--it doesn't look like it, but I need to be careful when I wash my face and stuff.

I finished the Football Widow last night. It was strange that the directions said to pick up 30 stitches around the neck and there were way more--closer to 42. So I did the 42 and knitted my ribbing turtleneck. I still think I need to do a little more blocking or at least wash it so the wool fluffs a bit.

I also worked on the two circular method for in the round. Amie said that it is easy, and boy was she right!! At first I thought I was doing it wrong since it was that easy, but low and behold a small tube emerged. I used more stitched to practice than is needed for the Booga Bag i-cord, so tonight I tackle that!!

In other news: Jeremy is expecting job offer number 3. I hope he gets this one because it is for a national company for a significant amount of money more than he is being offered already. There is a slight commute involved, but after a year or two we might think about moving a little more in the middle for both of us. So, since he gave Washington Mutual his two weeks and they are not asking him to work (free money!!), he is going to finish painting the craft room!! I'll have to get pics tonight so everyone can see the pretty blue. It is weird how everything sort of comes together in the end....

Welcome Visitors!

I forgot to mention in my earlier post today that I have been getting quite a few visitors at the blog in the last couple of days. It could be the addition of my blog to the Knitter's Review Webring (see button under Ring Around the Posies at Left).

Thanks to everyone that visits and says hi!! Leave your blog or website and I'll hop on over and visit you!!

More Weirdness

Ok, so I think the strangeness of the weekend is spilling over into the week....

We picked up the certified letter at the post office yesterday and it is a subpoena for a court case that we have never heard of before now. We think it has to do with the builder or something like that. Guess we'll have to ask the neighbors.

My company deposited a 6 Sigma reward check into my bank account, but I have no idea what project it is from....I thought I had gotten everything?! But who am I to scoff at free money...

Yoda is fine. I took her to the vet to have her paw looked at and the doctor gave her some antibiotics. She was thrilled to be there...

We went out to one of the best Italian food places around here-- Clara's in Woodridge--for our anniversary only to find out it is closed on Mondays. Other than Chinese restaurants, I don't think I have ever known of a restaurant that closes on Mondays. Well, lucky for us, or so we thought,  they just opened a new restaurant in Naperville. The Clara's on the Square just didn't do it. The owners tried to make a more upscale place and replaced their AWESOME pastas with steaks and chicken. I had to special order linguine and marinara sauce, and I won't even get into the fact that they don't serve lasagna at this one.... What a waste. But Coldstone Creamery--mmmm. My first time and boy was it good. Moral of the story--If you are in the Chicago suburbs and want good Italian food (and service)--try Rosebud's!!

Ok, so on the knitting front--Nothing to report. As you can see my night was action packed. Tonight I plan on learning the two needle circular knitting so I can do an i-cord for my Booga Bag (I think I would kill myself if I had to use dpns). I also plan on putting the turtleneck on Football Widow. Maybe I will start the Little Black Sweater again tonight. This is all tenative until something weird happens again and throws the whole day out of wack!

I'm addicted

When Jeremy was in N.C. last week, I took a little trip to Barns and Noble. Apparently, I didn't think that getting the Fall issue of Interweave Knits was enough knitting related reading material....
I ended up buying the  Family Circle Easy Knitting magazine, the October issue of Knit 'n Style , and the new  Hot Knits Book.  The FCEK had some cute shells and pullovers that would be appropriate for work. There is a lot of Crochet this issue, which I might look into if I ever get bored with knitting (I doubt that!). There were three poncho patterns as well. I am not sure what I think of ponchos, yet. I am not one of those people to knit something because everyone else likes them...maybe if it was a gift.
The Knit 'n Style Magazine  was a new one to me. There were a couple of cute sweaters, but not too many that I was itching to try. There is a really good step-by-step article on how to knit a first sweater. The sweater is actually cute: three-quarter length sleeves and some shaping.
The Hot Knits book had a variety of sweaters to knit. It tries to make the models all sultry and sexy in these sweaters, but I just don't buy it! I would say that I will probably attempt, or at lease put on my list, a good portion of this book, though.

Today is our first Anniversary! We are no longer Newlyweds. I took the cake out of the freezer yesterday to defrost, and Jeremy said he is not going to eat it....I think he'll change his mind! We have has the strangest weekend...Jeremy's sister and family is moving to Hawaii on Tuesday (with no money or anywhere to live), Jeremy's grandmother called his sister a nut, we somehow missed the mailcarrier trying to deliver a certified letter on Saturday (who is sending us certified mail?!?!), Yoda was in a terrible nail cutting accident (going to the vet after work), Jeremy may (Cross your fingers) get a job offer (or three) today, and someone got a hold of Jeremy's Discover Card number and tried to go shopping online at Banana Republic (Discover called and let us know--how nice!!). All I wanted to do was relax this past weekend......

This is why....

Here is why I don't have pics of knitting stuff....

My poor Yoda!! It was a nail trimming mishap. I accidentally got her paw in the clippers. I don't even know how I did that!!

Anyway, I did get most of a Booga Bag knitted for felting. I just need to do the i-cord. Then I frogged the Little Black sweater. I messed up somewhere, and I didn't know where. I thought it would be easier to start over. I finished my flower washcloth--looks, um, interesting. First time with dpns....

What Kind of Needles are You?

Ok, so I was browsing the KR Webring and the next blog in the queue had which needles she is.
Here I am:

bamboo
You are bamboo.Warm, cozy, and thoughtful, you take your time and
enjoy how things feel, smell, and taste. You
love the craft and beauty of traditional
things, and you value the comfort and
experience of knitting as much as the results.
But while you are reveling in your warm cozies,
don't get stuck.  Warm is wonderful, but so is
the whole wide world!

What kind of knitting needles are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

TGIF

So, last night I braved the Chicago traffic and picked Jeremy up at Midway Airport. Next time we are paying for a Limo...This trip should have taken about 20 minutes to get to the airport, wait for the plane to get in (30 minutes), and the home trip should have been 20 minutes. This turned into a 4.5 hour excursion.

Thank God my sister came over to watch Yoda, otherwise I would have had to bring her with....I left at 4:00pm because I knew traffic was going to be bad at rush hour. I had no idea. It took me an hour and a half to get to Midway. I then went to my grandma's house since she lives about 5 minutes away and waited for Jeremy to call. Only thing is, it took way more than 5 minutes to get to the airport!! Ridiculous! This isn't even in the heart of the city or the international airport!! Limo, that's all I can say.

I thought that I would get to the airport, or at least my grandma's and be able to finish the washcloth...I got NOTHING done! By the time I got home and ate dinner, I was already sleeping. Needless to say, I will spend some time this weekend finishing up some things, taking pictures (yes, it will happen), doing house work and hopefully painting.

I hope everyone has a good weekend. And hopefully you can stay away from airports....

BTW, my friend Curtis sent me this  link. If you are at work, put on headphones or turn down the volume. It is a joke on the presidential election (not party biased at all)....pretty funny.

The Things You Learn at Work

I am not going to even address the pictures, so don't say anything...

But, I do have exciting news....
I was in this incredibly boring conference call with a couple of employees. So we all stopped paying attention to the presentation and started talking amongst ourselves. I was talking to a girl that is close to me in age and one way or another knitting came up. She said, "You knit? So do I!" OMG!! We talked about knitting the entire meeting....We even decided that we are going to go to Midwest Stitches together because our non-knitting husbands and friends wouldn't be interested. Yippee!!

Wednesday, July 14, 2004

Ok, Ok...

I know I was supposed to get pics out today, but I was so tired last night I went to bed around 8!! Jeremy is going to North Carolina tonight, so it is me and Yoda. I'll try to get some picks of her and the knitting...

So this is what I am thinking--Since I am married and near that age that people start having kids (though I would like to wait a bit longer), I think I am going to start knitting for the unborn children. Some of the baby things are so cute, and I would be afraid that I would be so busy with the baby that I wouldn't get anything made. This way I can choose classic, non-gender specific items and make them now--free of time constraints, and then put the clothes away for when I have the baby. Is this weird? Am I too organized with my life?

On another note, Sandy found some yarn that I covet!!! It is Knit One, Crochet Too's Richesse et soie. It is 65% cashmere 35% silk...does that not sound like heaven? She is making Glorious Gloves, which I think just may need to make as well. I have been wanting to play around with cashmere, and this stuff is around $15/ball--much less than other types and brands. I think I would want to make a pretty cabled hat and scarf to match....ahhhh I won't be able to wait for winter!!

Tuesday, July 13, 2004

I'm bad!

I am such a bad person--I didn't get the pictures out. Tonight will be the night!!

I have never been so fickle with my projects like I have been lately! I want to get going on the Little Black Top but I don't don't feel like working on it. I was supposed to put the collar on Football Widow and the didn't happen, either....I did manage to get two petals done on a flower washcloth. I need to focus!!

Last night I had a case of the forgetfuls. I need to get Jeremy's cell phone switched over to my name so I can get him a discount. I got the papers that I need to fill out from Verizon, and I put them in such a safe place--Yeah, so safe I can't find them. I tore the house apart looking for these dumb papers. I finally gave up and decided to to let me 'subconcious work on it'. I don't think my subconcious has figured it out yet because I still don't remember where I put them....Ah, well...

I hope everyone has a good day--Hot, Humid, Muggy, Hazy. Those are the words for Chicagoland this morning (Yuck!!)

I think I may either change the poll question or put my tagboard back up, so watch for those changes.

Monday, July 12, 2004

I'm so Proud....

I didn't think I would post again today (well, besides putting pics out), but I just got some GREAT news!! Jeremy has been looking for a job forever. Ok, ok, at least since he greaduated last Spring. Well, today he found out he has to go to North Carolina for a third interview with this one company....and he is the only one they are sending!!! How exciting is that? I hope he gets it. What would really be fun is that we may have to move in a couple of years to the Raleigh-Durham area--I think that would be neat. And I would be closer to all those awesome East-coast Yarn shops!!

Secret Pal Gift #2

When I returned home from work on Friday, I saw a package on the front step--yippee! It was from my secret pal!! I rushed inside and opened it up. Inside were 3 balls of Berroco Suede in a brown, a Berroco pattern book, and a card. I will post a picture later. I would have done it this weekend, but I was extrememly busy!!

In other knitting news:

I finished seeming up Football Widow. I am not sure how I like the bulkiness of it. It is a cute sweater, but with all the seems done up, I feel like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man!! I still need to do the turtle-neck on it, so it is not 100% done. I think I'll get that done tonight and take pictures.

I learned that I am bad at finishing on this sweater. I personally don't think it looks "professional". Not that it would or should, but it looks messy (to me) and I am not sure what I did wrong. Maybe more practice is what I need....or I can just start doing sweaters in the round!!!

I promised...so here you go!!!

I promised pictures, so here they are!! Tons of them...

This is the first row of the Checkers Blanket. It think it'll be nice when I am done, but it just takes forever and gets BORING! Posted by Hello

Here are the results of my Kool-Aid Dying Adventure. I love the blue, but the green leaves something to be desired....It'll work though for a Marsupial Tote? Posted by Hello

This is the back of Little Black Top. I accidentally bought the Classic Elite Lush (oops!) instead of the Provence. I like the lush--it lives up to it's name.  Posted by Hello

Thirft Store Finds!!! An (almost) complete set of needles!! I needed sizes 1-4 and I got them--along with tond of extras. You never know when you'll need extras! Posted by Hello

Another Thrift Store Find--$.60 for Merino Wool!! Yippe!! Posted by Hello

Yoda was helping her mommy take pictures....isn't she cute? Under Yoda is more $.60 Merio Wool!! Posted by Hello

The Cotton Chenille I bought from Numei for $1.95 a skein. I think the colors look awesome. We'll see how well they turn into flower washclothes from Weekend KnittingPosted by Hello

I just need to block and sew up Football Widow . The way it has been chilly here in Chicagoland, I may be able to wear it now! Posted by Hello

Shot of the craft room. Right now it is more like a repository for my crap. That will all change soon. I need to pain the ceiling white, the walls this awesome shade of blue and it will be perfect....then I need to think about shelves....hmm... Posted by Hello

The other half of my "cozy" craft room. I don't like to think of it as small (it may hear me....) Posted by Hello

I hope all these pictures satisfy you!! Tonight is grocery shopping--my least favorite thing to do--so I don't know how much knitting I may accomplish.

Wednesday, July 07, 2004

Sorry....

I wasn't able to get pictures out last night of everything because I became so darn busy. I have all this left over Mary Kay inventory that I need to get rid of, so I listed some of it on ebay just to see how it sells...Got my first sale during the night!!!

I also wanted to work on the Little Black Top a bit more so that I would feel like I accomplished something.

I'll try to get some picks out tonight...I promise!!

Back to work...

Well, I am back at work. Wish I wasn't!

Anyway, this was a busy weekend! I found on Melissa's blog a tutorial on how to take sweaters apart to use the yarn. The tutorial was pretty good and so I hit the thrift store. I bought four sweaters for $.60 each!! Some of them were 100% Merino wool and others were wool and angora....I already have a sleeve off of the Merino sweater. Worked pretty well! I can handle yarn at $.60!!

Speaking of thrift stores, I mentioned that my mother-in-law picked up some needles for me...well, I collected them this weekend and it was a whole set of aluminum needles....size 1-15. There were several size 9s, 10.5s, and only one size 8, but I thought it was a great buy.

I finished knitting the Football Widow sweater, but I still need to block and sew it together.

I started on the Little Black Sweater this weekend as well....I shouldn't have. I wanted to start a felting project with the yarn my Secret Pal sent--I think I may be able to start it since the Little Black Sweater will probably take quite a bit more time than I am used to spending....

Drapes were made for the kitchen and the bought ones were hemmed....Bought the paint for craft room, but didn't start painting. Soon, I promise!!

I will post pictures later on today!!

Friday, July 02, 2004

Happy Holiday Weekend!!

So, I have an hour left at work and nothing to do! How does that happen?

Anyway, I hopefully will get the Football Widow sweater done this weekend--at least the knitting part of it. I will have to block it, so I am not sure that will get done along with the sewing...

I know for a fact that I will be making curtains all weekend. I thought I would be ambitious and make pinch pleated curtains for the patio door and the dining room...when you have 5 panels of 54" fabric sewn together it is very intimidating. I gave up on that and ordered curtains from JCPenny. Hopefully I will get those this weekend so we can finally hang them. But the issue of $300 worth of fabric still looms...I can make curtains for the rest of the house--the other windows use less fabric at a time and the white will go with everything!!

I think we may be painting some more this weekend too since it is supposed to rain (check the weather girl). Home Depot has Behr paint on sale ($10 rebate per gallon--Yeah!), so we may as well start the Craft Room. Yes, I said Craft Room. A room all to myself, my books, my yarn, my fabric, and my sewing machine!! I already know how I want it to look, it is just a matter of the $$ and getting to it...Hmmmm, maybe it'll start this weekend....

Have a great holiday weekend and Happy Fourth of July!!

Tomato Soup?

Since today is grocery shopping day, we have few options for lunch. I decided to cook a can of tomato soup and bring it in to work with a peanut butter sandwich. I put my soup in a Tupperware soup bowl. I have never had any problems before....but when I got to work I noticed that my bag was full of tomato soup! To make matters worse, my purse, planner, water bottles--everything was covered in tomoto soup!!! Last time I try to bring soup to work!! Thank God for peanut butter sandwiches.
